Scotland Rugby League celebrates a £4,262.00 donation from the Rugby League Foundation (RLF) to support Scotland's player development centre.
The RLF have contributed towards the running costs of the Scotland Rugby League player development centre which will provide 60 Scotland based players with the opportunity to develop their rugby league skills and game knowledge in a performance environment run out of the World Class facility, Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow.
Commenting on the funding Mark Senter, Scotland Development Manager said "We are delighted with the contribution made by the Rugby League Foundation to support our player development programme, The player development centre will enable us to educate our coaches to a higher level to deliver suitable programmes for developing players at Under 15, 16 and Under 18 age groups which will enhance their knowledge of core skills, lifestyle and strength and conditioning. This will provide a long term positive input into the National squads at Under 18, A, and full National Level".
Scotland Under 16's, pictured, already a product of this programme will be travelling to Germany on the 17th August 2011 to play in a four way development tournament between, Scotland, Germany, Russia and Serbia.
The Scotland player development centre will start with trials on 24th September 2011 with the main programme commencing in October 2011 and completing in May 2012.
